Authority (EDA) partners with businesses and entrepreneurs by providing land options,

Industrial Park
Fosston’s Industrial Park offers fully serviced lots with:
- City water and sewer
- Natural gas and electricity
- Broadband internet
- Paved streets with curb and gutter
- Convenient access to Highway 2
The park is home to several successful businesses, and a 40-acre fourth addition is

Business Financing & Incentive Programs
Fosston Microloan Program
The Microloan Program helps preserve and strengthen the vitality of Fosston’s business
community by supporting start-ups, expansions, and improvements to commercial buildings.
Eligible applicants: Retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and service businesses that
meet SBA small business guidelines and have been in operation for a minimum of six months.
All applicants are subject to a credit review.
Applications are reviewed monthly by the Fosston EDA Board.

IRP Loan Fund
The IRP Loan Fund provides financing for retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and service
businesses that meet SBA small business definitions.
Uses must be considered beneficial to Fosston’s economic interests and are evaluated by the
EDA Board and City Council. Ineligible uses include any business activity determined to not
be in the City’s best interest.
Applications are reviewed monthly by the Fosston EDA Board.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) & Tax Abatement
Tax increment financing and/or tax abatement may be available for qualifying projects that
create jobs, expand the tax base, or remove blight. Eligibility is reviewed on a case-by-case
basis and structured to meet the needs of both the project and the community.
