The Fosston Library and Arts Center serves as a cultural cornerstone for the region, offering dynamic opportunities through both library services and the arts. Our goal is to enrich the lives of all area residents by fostering a love of learning, creativity, and community engagement.

🎭 Aurora Center for the Arts

The Aurora Center for the Arts, a local nonprofit, governs the arts programming and facilities housed within the Fosston Library and Arts Center. This includes management of the theater, Sorenson Gallery, and multiple classroom, office, and rehearsal spaces.
🖼️ Sorenson Gallery & Multi-Use Space
A rotating gallery showcasing the work of local and regional artists. Exhibits change every 2–3 months and have featured photography, painting, sculpture, textiles, and more.
Student art is regularly displayed in the upper gallery, located in the theater foyer.
The gallery space, equipped with a kitchenette, also serves as a venue for:

Rental available for a small fee, with priority given to arts-related and nonprofit groups.

Theatre at the Aurora Center
Our 150+ seat theater is one of the region’s most active performance spaces. Events include:

Basement Studio & Community Space
The lower level features a flexible art classroom and gathering space. It hosts arts programming and is regularly used by the Polk County Family Resource Center.
