Civic Center
Fosston Civic Center
The Civic Center is your go-to spot in Fosston for recreation, community programs, and events. With a gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, two public meeting rooms, and a kitchen, it’s a versatile space that welcomes all ages year-round. It also serves as the seasonal hub for the Fosston Ice Rink during the winter months.
History
The Civic Center was built in 1967, thanks in large part to the vision of former Mayor Arvid Clementson. From the beginning, it has served the public in many ways—and that mission continues today.
School-Year Use
During the school year, the Fosston School District rents space for physical education, swimming classes, and extra classroom needs.
Staff & Supervision
The Civic Center is led by Aquatics & Recreation Director Karen Graham, supported by a night supervisor and a team of trained lifeguards and swim instructors.
Summer Rec Hub
Each summer, the Civic Center is the center of Fosston’s youth recreation, offering baseball, softball, swimming, golf, children’s theatre, art, and weekly activities like croquet, floor hockey, soccer, volleyball, and more.
