Air Travel to and from Fosston
The city of Fosston has a municipal airport, Anderson Field, just outside of the city limits that features a 3500 foot paved, lighted runway.
If you are flying in from the metro area, the Bemidji airport, only forty miles away, has a 6600 foot runway with six scheduled, daily round trip flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Attention: Upcoming Runway Closure
This project includes removing the existing pavement of the runway and performing soil correction beneath the runway. Drain tile will be installed, and new sand sub-base will be placed. Aggregate base and geotextile fabric will be installed, and the runway will be re-paved and re-painted. New REILS, threshold lights, and edge lights for the runway will also be installed.
