Fosston Library & Arts Center

The Fosston Library & Arts Center is a City-owned building that brings together library services and the arts under one roof. Fosston Public Library (a branch of the Lake Agassiz Regional Library system) and Aurora Center for the Arts (formerly FCLAA) share this space to offer books, exhibits, performances, classes, and community programs.

Aurora Center for the Arts

Formerly Fosston Community Library and Arts Association (FCLAA)

Aurora Center for the Arts operates the arts spaces within the Fosston Library & Arts Center, including the Sorenson Gallery, theater, classrooms, studios, offices, and rehearsal rooms.

Sorenson Gallery & Theater

On the main level, the Sorenson Gallery hosts rotating exhibits by regional and local artists, typically changing every 2–3 months. Exhibits have included photography, painting, sculpture, textiles, and more.

The adjoining theater offers seating for 150 and an intimate performance space for community theater, youth productions, concerts, film nights, and other special events.

Studios, Classrooms & Family Resources

The lower level includes flexible classroom and studio spaces used by Aurora Center for the Arts for classes, camps, rehearsals, and creative workshops. Private music instruction is also available through partner teachers.

The Polk County Family Resource Center (FRC) regularly uses the downstairs space on Wednesday afternoons to provide family resources, support, and activities.

Open Wednesdays, 1:00–3:00 PM

The Fosston Family Resource Center, operated by Polk County, is a free and welcoming space where parents and caregivers can connect with community resources, referrals, and assistance. Staff can help answer questions, provide guidance, and assist with applications or paperwork.
